Is the healthcare system working for you? Well, you’re not alone. Millions of Americans feel they have lost control over their own healthcare as policies like Obamacare have put bureaucrats in the driver’s seat, instead of patients and their doctors.
At its core, Obamacare is flawed, expensive and ultimately takes away your healthcare freedom. Not only are patients feeling the pain, but doctors, nurses and employers are also seeing how this convoluted system is hurting everyday Americans.
Under Obamacare:
Patient choices have declined. More than half of counties in America have access to two or fewer healthcare plans on Obamacare exchanges; many only have access to one.
Costs have skyrocketed. Average individual health insurance premiums have increased by 123 percent since 2013; family plan premiums have risen by 174 percent.
Care is restricted. Although fewer Americans lack health insurance under Obamacare, the proportion of underinsured Americans grew by 44 percent from 2010 to 2018.
Some propose that more government control will improve the system and support new policies like Medicare for All or the Public Option. But that will only drive a bigger bureaucratic wedge between you and your doctor.
Obamacare made a broken system more broken. Medicare for All or eventually the public option will be the final nail in the coffin.
As seen in both Canada and the U.K., government run healthcare only creates more problems:
Waitlists are long. The healthcare wait list in the U.K. now stretches to 4.2 million and over 1 million Canadians are waiting for care.
Healthcare is rationed. During 2019 in the U.K., over 86,000 scheduled medical procedures were canceled the day of for administrative, staffing or other non-clinical reasons.
We need a healthcare system that encapsulates peace of mind, affordability, protection, freedom to choose and control. It’s time to put you and your doctor back in the driver’s seat with patient-centered, free market solutions.
Your Health. Your Doctor. Your Wallet. Your Choice.
